Organized by the German Navigation Society (DGON) and the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR, the 2023 "International Radar Symposium (IRS)" provided a forum for academic and industrial radar professionals from around the world.
The IRS brought together academics, researchers, engineers, systems analysts, undergraduate and graduate students with government and non-government organizations to share and discuss both theoretical and practical knowledge.
Nicolas Treier, who completed his master's thesis on "Evaluation von Millimeterwellen zur Hautkrebsdetektion" (Evaluation of millimeter waves for skin cancer detection, project "MiDeSCa") and is now a research associate at IUAS, contributed significantly to a successful event with his presentation on the "Effective Medium Theory" (EMT).
The full report is available under Investigation Of Effective Medium Theory Concerning Applications For Skin Cancer Detection. (IEEE Access required)
